1. I would rather go to my brother/sister's birthday party, because she is part of family and we're very close. I'm sure my best friend would understand.
2. I'd rather talk to my parents. They're more experienced as they've been through life, and perhaps I could get better advice from them.
3. I would rather have a nice, big present. I don't really like going to parties; it's too crowded and I dislike the "disco" atmosphere. However, I like receiving presents and spending time with my family.
4. I'd rather be punished by cleaning the playground, because we already have a lot of homework to do and I don't want to do more of it.
5. I'd rather take my brother with me, if he behaves nicely.
6. I'd rather talk to my parents myself. It's always better to tell your parents about your bad grades than having a teacher do so. They'll appreciate my honesty and they'll help me improve my grades.
