Students usually lie to their teachers because of fear. Fear is the only thing that could make them lie. The consequences may be drastic, but this is another matter. The anxiety caused by getting a bad grade or the teacher calling the parents to scold them is anormal. Unfortunately this is how society today is. We lie to continue to be good students in the eyes of the teachers even though it is humanly normal to make mistakes.
