7. I have known my best friend since a long time.
8. I have known my best friend since we were in primay school.
With negatives
You can use a negative verb in the present perfect with since or of to say the last time you did something.
I haven't been there for months.(=I was last there months ago.)
I haven't seen him since we were kids.(= I last saw him when we were children.)
