I think this is about that the sun is huge and powerful and most of all it is the brightest thing.And a candle makes just a little light,but it has the advantage that it can bright everywere.But we don`t talk anymore about candles and sun,we talk about peope that are so many ,so big just as sun is .And a candle is not something usual,it`s unique just as some people and you can see that from the lyrics of englishman in new york:
