After finishing
studies, it’s hard to know what our abilities are. We may know that we can do
math, or that we can learn the theory, but it’s only when we start doing tasks
that we realise what we are good at. There are usually nice surprises along the
way. There are many things they don’t teach in school,
especially practical experience, so we can discover that we are good at
things we never thought about or maybe at jobs we didn’t know existed. At their
first job, people begin to understand what abilities they have and what
they enjoy doing. In time work will also shape people’s abilities: the more you
work at something, the better you get at it.
