Present Perfect Simple este un timp verbal care exprimă o acţiune neîncheiată în momentul vorbirii. Se întâlneşte des în compania adverbelor precum "already", "yet", "ever", "just".

Past Tense Simple arată o acţiune din trecut, care s-a încheiat. Indicii ale acestui timp verbal sunt expresii de timp cum ar fi: "a day/week/month/year ago", "last night/month/year", "yesterday".
